Why would you want to listen to two old guys yelling at clouds? And the worst thing, one of them is a fucking Swiftie. Anyways, if you're still listening, here's Adam and Steven.
SPEAKER_03Yes, welcome out to it. This is the Old Man Who Yell the Clouds podcast, when we get together to talk about the things that matter to us. It is episode number 155. As we recorded, it is February 16th, 2025. It's approximately 11 a.m. and we are podcasting live out of Vancouver, British Columbia.
SPEAKER_02Good day. Hello. We welcome, uh we welcome, well, we welcome you. There we go. Uh, we also graciously honor and acknowledge uh that we join you today from the traditional unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples, including the Musqueam, Squamish, and Sliwatooth nations.
SPEAKER_03Howdy. You know it. You know it. Um my name is Adam, and that voice you just heard is Stephen. Hello, Steven. Hi, Adam. Uh, before we get into it, you can support the podcast by heading our website, oldmenhealaclouse.com, and subscribing to our podcast. And if you want to help us out, please buy us a coffee. When were have we got a coffee this year?
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_03Well, buy us a coffee, damn it.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I mean, it's only a month and a half old. And considering the fact that we've only gotten two coffees in we're coming up on five years. Is that right? We're coming up on five fucking years of doing this nonsense and ranting and raving, and we have two coffees.
SPEAKER_03That's one for all, that's one for both of us. That's more than you know, that's more than I can. You know, I'm I'm thankful for those two copies, but please absolutely for sure. But and it would be better of a sponsorship. Fucking man, you you don't know how hard I've been grinding across this like behind the scenes. So there's this USB company, and I'm like, okay, cool, because we I talked, we talked about USB storage and we talked about we were a lot nerdier back then, but we've kind of streamlined it a little bit. So I was talking to this USB company. I'm like, listen, I give me a fucking USB key for both of us so we can show how fast it is and stuff. Because I in my car I use USB keys to play my flak music so I get the highest quality bitrate. Yeah. Um, and so I'm just like, give me the fucking USB key so I can show how sweet it is. Oh, we can't do that. How about okay? I'll pay for the fucking keys, I'll buy pay for two, and then we'll promote people to your website and we'll get a kickback. And oh, we can't do that. I'm like, well, then what can you do for me? Like, this is bullshit. Then why'd you reach out to me if you're not gonna do anything for me? It's I don't I don't know. I don't think anybody's spending money. So but having said that, please spend money and buy us a coffee.
SPEAKER_02Hey, we're we're we're Canadian, man. We're Canadian and we we talk about a lot of Canadian content, uh among other things. But hey, support Canada, support Canadians, support us. You gotta survive too, right? Uh that's all I ask.
SPEAKER_03It's hard work. It's not hard.
SPEAKER_02It's not hard work, but no, it's not hard for you to donate either.
SPEAKER_03Support us. Um anyway. So let's just move on to things. Like, fuck it, does everything hurt for you? And are you dying? Like, I don't know what's happening to me. Like, I I get up in the morning and my body hurts, and I get up. You know, I think it might be my bed. I might need a new bed. Yeah. But uh how old is that bed? Um it's been through too much, I'm sure. How long? 10, 15 years old.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_03It's time.
SPEAKER_02It's probably time. I mean, I know a lot of the warranties on newer beds nowadays are 10 or 15 years minimum. But are there beds that have a longer warranty? And if there are, then you know what? You should probably get a new bed after 15 years anyway. So yeah. Uh we talked about our bed that we bought, I think, last year, didn't we? We we did buy a new bed, and I think I think you did, yeah. Yeah, and it's and it was long overdue. We needed something, and it's been amazing, man. I love it. I uh it's a great you know what? You know, my only thing that I wish we had done instead? I wish a water bed? No, fuck no. Fuck no. Those are so 1980s, 1970s, 1980s. I did have one at one time, yeah. Never never again. Uh we should have got a king-sized bed. Even if it won't fit in our fucking bedroom, we should have got a king-sized bed. I wish we had gotten a king-sized bed.
SPEAKER_03Just more space, or uh do you do you like do you like starfish when you're sleeping, or what happens?
SPEAKER_02Who's the biggest bad hog? Well, we're always fighting for covers, and once you get the two cats on the bed, we let our cats sleep on the bed, and sometimes they join us, sometimes they don't. Uh it's nice having them there, actually. Uh, but once you get those two cats sprawled out sideways, I mean we've got no fucking room left, and we don't boot them out unless we have to, I guess. And uh, anyways, a bit cats aside, like we were in we were in San Francisco, and of course we had a king-size bed, and it was just fucking awesome, man. Like, it's just there's so much room. It makes such a big difference.
SPEAKER_03I hear somebody laughing in behind me. Yeah, I might uh I think I just have a well, it's just me, so I have a full size bed. Okay. Um, I actually just bought new sheets. You know, we're talking bed talk here in all many like clouds. Uh I just bought new sheets. So I now psycho because I think we were talking about this during the COVID. I was washing my sheets every like two, three weeks. Now I change it every week. So I'm just constantly rotating through sheets.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's that's smart. COVID or not, I mean and well, and with everything else going on right now, you talk about being sick, but yeah, yeah, you should probably change your sheets regularly for sure.
SPEAKER_03So did you uh did you see that the COVID levels are still super high?
SPEAKER_02I I I saw your your your prep in the link that you shared, and I did not realize that things were still so bad or bad again, I guess, or whatever. Um I know that there's a lot of sick people right now. COVID and other stuff. The flu is really bad. Sounds like sounds like there was a delay in the flu season for whatever reason, and now everybody's getting sick. Yeah, and maybe that's what you got a little bit. Um it's really going around the respiratory illnesses and uh flues and now COVID if it's bad again. Yeah, uh, it it sucks, and that's could be part of what you're feeling. Uh you're getting old, so that's uh throw that in there. Um you know, I I actually I I was at the hospital on uh on Thursday. And you were at the hospital? Oh many fucking sick people. Yeah, I uh I'll get into my other procedure I had uh because we didn't have we've never talked about that. Um and it wasn't a vasectomy, if you're wondering. Uh you don't okay, so anyways, I you don't do that at you don't need to go to the hospital for that anyway. So um I don't know why I've said that, but uh anyways, maybe that's what you were thinking. Maybe that's what it was.
SPEAKER_03Uh no, no. So I actually talked to my doctor about getting one. Oh, and she goes, and she goes, You're still young. Yeah. She's like, Do you enjoy having sex? I'm like, fuck, I haven't had sex in years. And she like starts laughing. She's like, Well, you're still young. If you get it, it's gonna take your testosterone away and you're gonna be fucked. So come back when you're like 55. I'm like, done. Is that what she said? That's what she said, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Uh, I think there okay, now we're getting sidetracked to what we were talking about. But but but there are there are still some doctors, I think, who are and it and it's probably right. I mean, you want to make sure that you don't want to have kids along the way, and you are still young, but at the same time, you should be able to do what you want with your body, and your doctor shouldn't tell you otherwise. If it's something that you really want to do, you should be able to do it.
SPEAKER_03Well, yeah, but she says that it's the it'll be more enjoyable if I don't do the procedure. Wow.
SPEAKER_02And uh let me tell let me tell you, it doesn't make any difference, at least for me, because I got that shit done a long time ago.
SPEAKER_03Uh at this point in my life, I carry around instead of how people carry around condoms in their fucking wallets. I now carry around wet naps because it's more high probability that I'll fucking eat chicken wings and get laid. So that's that's that's where my life has come to. Oh, that's hilarious. That's awesome. So, anyway, speaking about getting laid in love and stuff, did you do anything for Valentine's Day? Uh no.
SPEAKER_02No. Hey, uh, no, we didn't. What day was we know what day that was? What day was that? It was on Friday, uh, two days ago. Is that Friday?
SPEAKER_03Okay. Did you get the better half a card even? Flowers?
SPEAKER_02No, no, you chocolate, yeah. Yeah. You know, you know what? We decided a long time ago to to you know skip all of these different holidays. We we celebrate birthdays and anniversaries now, and that's it. Because it's just the cards are too much money, it's a waste of paper, and uh flowers we can't have around because of the cats, and uh everything's just so expensive. So we're just trying to try to limit it to a little bit. And anyways, I think we just stayed home, watched some TV, ate some chocolate, had some supper.
SPEAKER_03Nice.
SPEAKER_02What else do you need?
SPEAKER_03Uh well I want to hear about uh so you were in the hospital? What happened there?
SPEAKER_02Well, so no, well, yeah, I'm not gonna I won't get into details, but yeah, I was talking about going, I was being there, I was I was being there, I was there Thursday evening, and I was gonna say though that that so many people are sick, like like like obviously you go to the hospital and something's wrong with you, so you that's why you're at the hospital, but but people were fucking coughing and hacking and snorting and snot all over, and it's just gross. And um it's so it's it's really bad right now. And um I I was surprised I put a mask on as soon as I got there. But but I thought I thought the hospitals mandated masks again, so that if you want to enter the facility, you basically have to wear a mask. They didn't they didn't ask me, they didn't they didn't you know what you know the only thing that they asked me when I walked in? Do you have any weapons?
SPEAKER_03Oh, could you bring weapons to the hospital now?
SPEAKER_02Well, yeah, and as if I'm going to admit I've got a weapon as I'm walking in the door, anyways, right? Um, anyways, that was kind of stupid, but um anyways, 99% of the staff, the hospital staff had masks on. There were some people, and I don't know why, they didn't. Uh, and I bet you a very high percentage of the patients or people, visitors and such, uh, they also had masks on, which was really good to see. But but these still a handful of people who are just sitting there and somebody's fucking coughing up a long grip beside them and they don't have a mask on. Like, what the hell's wrong with you? You're gonna go go home to your family and get sick yourself and pass on whatever shit they've got. You know, is that really smart? No. No, no, no, I didn't think so. Anyways, things are things are pretty bad, so people uh better gotta take care of yourselves. Um I had I did have a uh a cardiac ablation, it's called. Uh I think I've talked about my little heart condition I've had uh for many years now, the uh the SVT, the the sudden onset of a rapid heartbeat. So um I at some point last year decided enough's enough, nothing's working for me. It's kind of happening more often. Um and uh I'm just too, you know, I'm just tired. I'm getting tired of it. It's becoming more of a pain in the ass than anything, right? So it's just time to take care of it. So I think it was last May. Like this, so this process to get this done was probably took nine months, eight months for sure. Essentially, I had to go to my doctor, um, he had to make recommendations to to my cardiologist to who I've seen before. It's not somebody new of uh again, I've been going through this shit for a long time. Uh, and I finally got so that was May, I think. I finally got in to see my cardiologist in August. He said, Okay, yeah, let's do it. Uh, I finally got in for that procedure towards the end of January, so it's been three weeks or whatever. Basically, so an ablation is basically they go in with a catheter and some other instruments and guide it into your heart, they try and stimulate that area that's causing the problem, and then they cauterize the muscle tissue. They basically kill the muscle tissue and the electrical shit that's going on there that's causing a problem. Uh, it's more much more complicated than that. And uh it's it's it's a relatively minor day surgery. Uh there can be some complications and stuff, of course. Um, but it's it's pretty it's pretty routine. My cardiologist does this all the time. I trust him, he knows what he's doing, and uh the idea is to take care of that one little area in my heart that's causing problems, uh, because it's acting like another pacemaker, essentially. Um again, I can talk about this for a long time, but yeah. Uh anyway, so so once those cells, as long as he's targeted the right area, as once those cells are dead, uh, no more problems. The rest of my life, I'm cured. Hopefully. So, anyway, that's what I had done. Um I think you know, as I've been thinking about this, and and I wasn't really concerned about the procedure, and you know what, it was a breeze. Uh, they don't put you under, but they do sedate you enough that you know what, I don't even remember, I don't even remember lying. Well, I I remember lying on the table, and after that, I woke up in my recovery area. So I don't remember anything. So it's pretty it was pretty good. And then I went home like two or three hours later. So um I I just wish now that I'd got that done a long time ago. Because I've think been thinking about it and I've been dealing with this for s you know, I it's probably been it's been over 15 years for sure that I've been going through this a very long time. Um people can need to decide and do things what's best for them, but you know what? If anybody has any reservations about getting this done, I say go for it. It's just uh such a simple procedure. And uh people were probably a lot more worse off than I was. There are people who probably go to the hospital all the time for this condition, and probably their heart rate ends up being a lot higher than mine. Yeah, because mine jumps sometimes jumped up to 200. Apparently, there's people who have 220, 240, 250, and stuff like that. That's got to cause a lot of distress for them when it's that high. So um, anyway, did did you ever pass out from it? Or no, I haven't. Uh I've gotten see, and that's the all as I've been getting older here and it becoming more frequent, and uh, I had did become lightheaded at times. I've never passed out, uh, I've never really had chest pain, uh, never really short of breath. But I've always I was always able to correct it or um stop it myself through various procedures or techniques, I guess. Um but that became more and more difficult as well. And again, that's my was my decision just to get this done. Uh but yes, if your heart rate is up like 240, a lot of people, yeah, they're gonna have some symptoms. They may feel lightheaded, they may pass out. Yeah, because um their heart is beating so fast, maybe they can't get the oxygen to their brain. Um so in those cases, like I I that never happened to me. Okay, but in those cases, um yeah, that's that's a obviously a little bit more serious. Um it can't kill you, I guess, unless you let it go on at 250 beats a minute for too long. It's probably not healthy. Yeah. But like if you if you if it happens and you pass out and you hurt yourself because you fall, that you know, that's not good either. So anyways, if people have any reservations, they should look into it and make a decision with their doctor and get it done if that's an option, man. Because it's uh I hope I'm I hope I'm cured here now. It's uh a little too early to know for sure, but so far so good. And yeah, well um yeah, that's my health update. So but I know what you mean about being sick. Uh again, back to that. There are people are people are sick. People at work, there's people at work who are booked off you know for for days at a time because they're so sick. It's um it's not good. People are going going on uh business, uh business trips and traveling. They come back and they're fucking sick. It's yeah like it's everywhere. It sucks.
SPEAKER_03Just get rocked. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Anyway, stay home if you're sick.
SPEAKER_03Yes, and that's the big thing. If you're fucking sick, stay at home. Just like just you have sick days or whatever, just stay at home. Try not to get other people sick because it's just it's brutal.
SPEAKER_02You don't know what you're gonna pass on and you don't know how there are people are going to be affected by it. Maybe you don't feel so gr shit hot, but could make somebody else really sick, you know. Yeah, especially those who are a little bit more vulnerable and elderly and yeah, not good.
SPEAKER_03Anyways, fuck them. What else do we got going on? Uh I went to my first movie of the year. I went and saw Captain America Brave New World. It was uh it was okay, it just moved the story along. It was like a solid 6.5 out of 10. Okay, and uh so I was expecting more, but you know, for what it was, it was okay. Harrison Ford is in it, he's classic. He actually carried that movie, was uh it was really, really good. Okay. Uh did you uh shit? What was the last movie you saw in theaters again? I went to Nosferatu. Yes, and I still haven't watched it yet. It's supposed to be fucking awesome.
SPEAKER_02It's a pretty good I I enjoyed it. It's um, you know, it didn't it was just another take on the old Nasferatu movie from like 1929 or something like that. Or yeah, you know, of course it's it's it's very similar to Bram Stoker's Dracula, which came out in 1992, 1990s or something, anyway. That's what that was with Keanu Reeves and yeah, uh who else was in that? Uh Gary Oldman and uh anyway. So you know what? I mean, very those movies they're they're they're very similar. So it's just a more modern take on it, I guess. Um the story is is kind of almost exactly the same. You've just got some new actors, new talent in there, different director who maybe wants to change things up a little bit. But but it's so similar, I guess. And that so in that way it was maybe a little bit disappointing, but but you know, still it wasn't too bad of a movie. That's all I've seen. Yeah, that was my first movie in a long time, and of course I've that was Christmas time. I haven't seen anything since then.
SPEAKER_03Oh, it's okay. Um, but speaking of shit we've been watching, did you watch any did you watch the Super Bowl? Did you watch the halftime show?
SPEAKER_02Uh I did watch Super Bowl. Fuck, I'm glad Kansas City got killed. Um I uh I and I and of course we had the halftime on. I didn't it's not like I turned it off, but you know what? I should have because it was just shit. It really was it wasn't that bad.
SPEAKER_03There was a bunch of symbolism in there, and he's an anti-Trump guy.
SPEAKER_02I know, but still it's it's uh it's it's uh it's all about the music, I think, and um yeah, yeah. I just no, that's it's not my thing. I I didn't so I didn't enjoy it.
SPEAKER_03Uh did you watch the SNL 50 musical guest celebration of life, whatever the fuck it was? Oh, that I didn't watch. Yes, I've been meaning to. How was it? I haven't seen it yet either. I haven't been able to. I don't think it's streamed in Canada. It's it now on Peacock, and I I hope it's it's somewhere online that we can watch it. But uh I haven't watched it yet.
SPEAKER_02What's uh when was that broadcast?
SPEAKER_03Uh Friday night or Saturday night.
SPEAKER_02Oh, just this is just new then. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Okay. Uh um apparently um I mean there's a lot of performances that were uh supposed to be awesome. Nirvana got to back together if you give a shit with post Malone singing. Apparently, it was fantastic. Okay. Um Sting was there with uh Stevie Wonder. Oh wow. Uh there was just a um Eddie Vetters was there. A lot of people like it was supposed to be it was just supposed to be cool.
SPEAKER_02So right on. I'll have to gotta watch that at some point.
SPEAKER_03Uh what else do we got going on? Uh well we'll talk about Trump shortly, but uh what I wanna know is um we've we've talked a lot about high-end audio and flak and stuff. Yeah how is your high-end audio flak journey going?
SPEAKER_02Uh I've been I I really enjoy it. I I sat down again um last weekend, I think. I just sat down for a couple hours and whipped through some stuff in my library. I can't even remember what maybe I listened to, but I I I I was sitting there and I'm just thinking about the music and focusing on the music. And I again I you know I have a I have a nice DAC and a head headphone amp and a nice sweet pair of headphones, so it sounds great. Again, I know we've talked about the differences in Flack versus MP3 and all that, regardless of the quality. I guess it's just so cool to. sit there, relax, and crank it up and focus on the music and do nothing else, right? And I just enjoyed that so much. And I need I need to do it more. That's that's really what each time I do it I just think I have to do this more. So um sometimes I feel I'm still searching for music instead of actually listening to it. If you know what I mean. So I have to just try and take a you know take even a half hour and just sit back and relax man and just enjoy the tunes and because it is it is pretty cool. And again for me it's for me it's because more because I can crank it up. That that's the thing because I don't I'm not able to do that any place else. And uh and the my headphones are open back so I I kind of have to do it when the better half is not here because if she's in the living room sitting beside me the open back when I crank it up she can still hear things and I think it's a little bit disruptive still for her right so yeah uh I've got a plenty of alone time I can always sit back and just relax and crank it up a little bit. So I need to do that more.
SPEAKER_03No that makes sense. Yeah um I'm having more and more of a difficult five time finding flak files and shit online. It's uh it seems like everything's getting taken down or can't find them or or whatever it is.
SPEAKER_02So yeah I um yeah it's they're out there they're out there it still doesn't seem to be too much of a problem but uh yeah trying to find uh like newer stuff too like you know some something got released yesterday like I can't it's tough to find like it's uh oh okay yeah I'm having some I'm having some issues we're gonna have to take this offline well uh I was I was just gonna say yeah I'll uh I'll uh yeah let's let's chat after and uh I can maybe point you the right way because it's uh yeah it's not too bad.
SPEAKER_03You you're doing okay.
SPEAKER_02I'm doing okay.
SPEAKER_03Uh yeah no that that's awesome because it it really does make a difference when you're listening to cool stuff and you crank it up loud and it's just it just you feel it in your soul you know and that's the most important thing about it.
SPEAKER_02Well well you do and again and again regardless of the quality you're still hearing things a little bit you're hearing more well well you know you know when you're in your car we've talked about sound stage and stuff like that. Yeah you're just able to pick up the instruments better when you turn it up whether it's in your car on your good system or it's a good pair of headphones you're just able to pick things up the sound stage is just so cool and um it that that's that's what's really awesome about it. It's it's just you know sometimes you know there have been songs more recent songs probably that uh I probably never had a chance to listen to really loud you know just because I you know I've always been in apartments at least for a long time it's I can't crank it up I haven't had a vehicle for a long time uh so so I've I just haven't listened to this stuff loud enough to hear all of the instruments or the way that you know you should all the mix all together and again the sound stage and stuff like that. So now that I've got this good system you know I'm I'm hearing this these it's almost like I'm hearing this music for the first time. Oh that's in some ways it is and that's what's really cool about it. Right? So yeah so I'm enjoying it.
SPEAKER_03Just crushing it over there eh? Yep yep I am uh what else do we got going on? So there was uh we've talked about TikTok and we've talked about this will lead into our Trump conversations but we talked about TikTok and how it's was gonna you know Chinese government's taking it over and uh it was going away the rise and fall of TikTok and then it came back after Trump got elected. But you know what's funny about this whole story is that it seemed like America band together to save the app but they won't band together to fight for safe schools yeah like everyone was on it they were like oh we gotta bring it oh it's gonna ruin our lives no there's roots ruin your lives is you're selling guns and they're going to schools and they're shooting up people did you know that they have like gunfire drills in schools now do they really every yeah and like well I forget what they're called in the states now like because they're they have a different education system than we do. Yeah but it's taught in kindergarten all the way up to high school and they even have like college procedures for it.
SPEAKER_02Oh wow it's just like that's how fucked up the world is yet oh let's save this app it's more important than save schools I'm just like I just I thought about that the other day and I'm just like holy shit man that's a that's a pretty good perspective or it's a pretty good observation and yeah I don't know I never thought of that but it that's absolutely right so many people were pissed off that they would lose their audience because of the crackdown or the shutdown I guess of the app and yet nobody gives a shit about guns and uh uh I I know I'd laughed a little bit earlier and it was kind of a I shouldn't have laughed but because it's a very it's a it's a very serious thing but but yeah it's it just I I mean the whole fiasco with Trump because he he wanted that app kicked out a long time ago and now that it was actually about to happen he has he has backed down from that and you know again forget about the all the you you know we saw we saw the protests in front of the White House or the Capitol building uh from the people from the so-called influencers who were who were saying that they were going to be their voice was going to be uh shut up or shut out or whatever you know what I mean and uh and yeah uh yet they nobody talks about the guns and banning guns uh and uh especially in schools and everything that's happening there right so yeah it's pretty sad sucks uh but what even is uh even worse is that I thought about this when I was taking a shit so that's how this goes I was reading something on the news I'm like what so that's uh you know that's that's the the peaks and valleys of the news chill out okay I hope you weren't uh I hope you weren't uh on TikTok while you were on the throne uh um broadcasting I usually end up reading the news Google news while I'm on the because we like in Canada we're fucked for the news I actually find Google news is does a really good job of figuring out what's going on and I got like a CTV app and I got a CBC app that gives me the news but uh we're fucked for the news here it's bullshit again as usual fucking wow more yeah I mean it's out there it's out it is out there it's yeah uh yeah I don't know it's there's a multiple ways to consume news I guess and it depends on your sources and everything like that and you know social some like Mastodon I think Mastodon as long as you are subscribing to the right uh users there the news is good there uh there's other various websites um uh I talked about news groups and stuff like that or not news groups uh our RSS feeds and stuff like that before which basically gather in feeds from all of these different sources and they it just brings it into one place. Yeah no right so you can read all the headlines if you want to read the story you click on it it will eventually take you to that website but um I mean CBC people say what you want about CBC for the most part uh they are still good here in Canada uh other people might not just might not agree with that but uh and and say that CBC should not be funded by the Canadian government and blah blah blah whatever but um you know I I find that you know I was because I was watching CBC during the whole tariff thing with Trump and stuff like that and you know people say that CBC's kind of swings to the left and maybe that's true but I think they still uh you know and sometimes I I look at these reporters and think that wow they're kind of just trying to make a name for them for themselves regardless of the news outlet but yeah that's another story too but yeah um yeah I don't know I think news here in Canada is still for the most part pretty reliable you can probably find out anything you want quite easily so um yeah you you still wonder if you know there's still a business you still wonder if some news is being modified changed to um not to not to not to change the news but just to to provide a specific viewpoint on it instead of looking at it more objectively I guess from a wider lens.
SPEAKER_03I don't yeah now but yeah anyway well speaking of news and dumbasses let's uh talk about Mr. Trump there the tariffs so there's been so much information and stuff coming out the but the biggest thing that caught my eye is that Trump tariffs could cost BC's economy almost 70 billion dollars in three years that's a fuck ton of money yeah uh everything's gonna go up in price i think got delayed it was supposed to happen what February 1st but now it's gonna happen March 1st or something like that now I can't even find a real answer about this stuff anymore. Do you know any more about this?
SPEAKER_02Well well yeah I think he delayed it for a month yeah I think you're right to March 1st that was a 25% tariff across the board. But what the thing is what he's done since is now he's applied a 25% tariff on steel and aluminum which is so so he said so we so we so he delays us for this big blanket uh tariff thing or whatever but and then he it makes us it it basically made us um it relaxed us it uh it we thought we were safe for at least 30 days while we try and figure this out here right uh or let our government try and figure things out and no a couple couple days later he slaps these tariffs on us instead anyways so so it's like like what the fuck are you doing asshole it's it's um it's you know now and now they're still talking about you know other tariffs and increasing the tariff amounts and and all this stuff um here here's here's the thing that bothers me the most is that his he he's he talks about no more wars he talks about the ending the war in Ukraine and all this bullshit and what's happening in Gaza and that war has to end well what does he do he talks about taking over Canada he talks about Canada becoming the 51st state he talks about wanting to regain control of the Panama Canal he talks about basically taking over Greenland he talks about uh building these taking over Gaza and building these these big fancy resorts um what else what else is he there's more to this because well the Gulf of America yeah the Gulf of America well he's he can't take that over because that's a body of water that is shared with Mexico and other countries so he can apparently the government in the states allows him to to he can name what it whatever he wants but because it's in it in that case at least because it's again other countries are involved officially the world is not going to recognize it as the Gulf of America the the the the thing that he can do though is the mountain in Alaska it's uh Mount McKinley McKinley McKinley Mount McKinley it's uh it's the tallest mountain in America uh it was renamed I think Obama renamed it um to uh it's an indigenous name now too and I forget the story and the person behind it so basically it was renamed though um because that falls in come you know obviously that is part of America Trump can now do whatever he wants to so if he wants to change it back to McKinley then he's he can go ahead and do so and there's nothing anybody can do about it. Here's the thing though is is McKinley was a president in the states way back in the 1920s. Okay um he is he was I think it was the early early 1900s I think anyway he was huge on tariffs at that time tariffs were huge and I think they were a big part of the states and and helped them um again was it was it during the depression I I can't even remember the timing of all this but uh it helped um it helped the economy of America at that time but you know what this is a hundred years later it's a totally different world and tariffs are going to hurt the people of America as much as they hurt the people here in Canada. Oh yeah well and in China wherever that like everywhere it's gonna hurt everybody yeah and I and I get that and I get that he wants to take control he he wants he well he wants to he's at least he says he wants to take care of his own people he wants to build more jobs and you know what that's fine and if he can do that if there's a way to do that then that's then that's great. But when he affects whatever he does when and if it affects other people outside of his country like here in Canada 41 million people here in Canada then it's a problem then it's a really big problem you know I agree um and uh that's that's the thing that I I can't fucking stand that fucking asshole I really can't and I'm gonna be swearing a lot right now but that that that he's just uh arrogant egomaniac a selfish dick and uh and I'm being polite when I when I talk about him right now so yeah it's um it's it's it's sad it really is he says one thing and then he does another and and and the thing is he doesn't even he doesn't even know what the fuck he's talking about like like I'm not an economist I'm not a financial person uh but but at least stop fucking lying right because yeah he talks about no banks being allowed in Canada well there are 16 American banks that are allowed to operate in Canada what the fuck are you talking about he talks about America subsidizing Canada to the tune of he's bounced around with different numbers 100 billion 100 200 200 billion I think most recent it was $250 billion a year that the America that US subsidizes Canada those numbers are bullshit again I don't have to be an economist to know that and yet and yet he spews this garbage um like he knows what he's talking about and he doesn't in fact if you take away and again I I don't I'm not the economist I'm going by what I read and I think what I'm reading is is reliable sources from what I can tell if you take away if you take out oil and gas from the equation we subsidize America so so what so what is he talking about right what is he talking about he needs our oil and gas so that's the thing he needs our oil and gas we produce heavy oil here in Canada that there were only that their refineries that only their refineries in the states can can handle they're they're the they built their refineries down there for specifically for Canadian heavy oil their own oil is not heavy and they can't process it. So they ship it from Canada. So they need us as much as we need them right so why fucking do this bullshit again I told you we could go on and on you know talking about this asshole and and what he's doing and it's um yeah the more I the more I talk about him the fucking angrier I get but uh don't raise your heartbeats uh yeah yeah exactly there is uh he's an idiot the worst part about it is that everything's gonna go up in price we're gonna start getting even more hoes than we are now and uh you know people talk about a civil war between us and can't like be between Canada and the US and that's very possible and you have fucking Trudeau who's fucking trying to put his dick on the table was not doing much more to help anybody so well I don't know what he's yeah I don't know I you know what hey I'm not a I'm not a big Trudeau fan maybe I uh I think I voted for him in the last election because the alternative was bullshit and there's no way I'm voting conservative uh I think I think Trudeau despite the position he's in because he's in a bad spot he was basically forced out he's gonna he he is resigning he's done basically next month at some point his he's he's out of here right despite all that I think he he's he's trying to do what he can yeah he he's he's still he's talking about this he's working with the premiers and and and his uh his cabinet uh members and government he's trying to figure this out and trying to figure out what to do and you know I think he's has said that you know there's no way Canada's gonna be the 51st state uh it's going to be a dollar dollar tariff uh you know in return you've you apply these tariffs to us well every single dollar is going to be applied to you and and that is something that needs to be done uh we can't roll over and let's just let Trump do this to us we have to fight back however we can and yes that will mean that uh some people are gonna get hurt some people are gonna lose their jobs things are gonna be more expensive but we we we can't let this we can't let him do this we can't let Trump do this we we can't what what I mean what are we what else are we supposed to do? Like I said roll over and play dead let him do what he wants and come over and take over we can't do that. So I think I think under the circumstances Trudeau is doing what he is uh he can yep um and I don't know we'll we'll see what happens it will be an interesting time because again the Trumps or the the tariffs from Trump uh beginning of March like is he going to do those uh is he going to reintro reintroduce those tariffs uh what happens with the new leader of the Liberal Party is there going to be a Canadian election like there's lots there's lots of shit happening right now it's not a good time um so it'll be we'll have to see um but yeah I mean I mean I mean yeah is is Trump going to go into Denmark with troops and try and take it over using military using force there's no way he's going to do that here in Canada is he? I hope I don't think so still you can you can call it an economic war and an economic war is can be just as bad and just as hard on the people people may not directly get killed because of military and all that kind of stuff but people are going to get hurt because of an economic war and you may as well say that he is declaring war on Canada yeah really um and and greenland and panama and you know all of these other places um yeah he's just he's just such such an idiot i i I don't um I don't understand it okay so so my question to you is well it's not to you but it's my question is or my call more more of my comments is what are we as uh people of Canada citizens of Canada going to do about it because sure we we're sitting back we're letting our government kind of do this stuff and play this out and try and fight back but what are we doing as Canadians to fight back against Trump and America?
SPEAKER_03We're gonna lay over and take it because it's what Canada always does. No fuck no that's what I'm trying to say we don't do that we do not do that we can't buy local uh yes you found a great um uh Reddit link it says uh buy Canadian which I've never seen before as I was just scrolling through it now so you know like try to buy as much Canadian stuff as you can uh eliminate your travel from the to the US uh I just saw that um there's like people the airlines when before we're chatting and actually I was reading this before you had it in your prep it says airlines and travel companies are taking a hit as more Canadians cancel US travel plans and even sell American property over US President Donald Trump's repeated threats against Canada. So I mean that's a step in the positive direction but it's just a drop in the bucket like what's the bigger thing that we can do like we're hurting them by not going there we're hurting them by not visiting we're hurting them by not um buying their products but what what else can we do? I and I I think that's the general question for everybody.
SPEAKER_02Like these are the small things we can do to make a little bit of an impact but what's the bigger thing that we can do well that's and that's the thing I don't know that there is anything else we can do but but but you you you you said that those are little things and and actually they're not like like if if these numbers are true they are saying that a 10% drop in Canadian tourists will equate to $2.1 billion loss for America. That's $2.1 billion in one year for the tourist industry. That's huge. And that's only a 10% drop. If half the people in Canada say, fuck it, I'm not going to America anymore, that's going to be over $10 billion in lost tourist revenue in the States. That's huge. That's massive. Air Canada is making plans because people are canceling trips or going elsewhere. Yes, tourism, the tourist agencies maybe are losing money because of that, less travel to the states. But the fact is people are, yes, maybe staying home, but people are instead of going to the US, people will travel in Canada, or they'll travel to Europe or any place else, right? So it's not like um it's not like there's going to be less travel. It's overall there's going to be less travel to the states, and I think that's the whole idea of this. Um yeah, so okay, so I'm gonna throw it out there. Are you going to America next week?
SPEAKER_03Uh next week? No. Oh, well, yeah, I am going next week. I'm gonna go see the Deftones in Seattle 27th.
SPEAKER_02So I know you've got your tickets, and fine. I'm not saying you should cancel. Uh you could, because people are travel kept trap canceling their travel plans, uh, Disneyland, all that sort of stuff.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Uh you could easily transfer your tran cancel your trip to go see a concert, right? So I can, yeah. Um I'm not saying you should I'm not gonna give you a hard time if you go. I'm not I'm not saying that.
SPEAKER_03It's the fucking deaf tones, man.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I know. Um but people would seriously consider it. If it was me, I'd probably have an easier time canceling than you would just because I mean you know what? Uh I mean, when Trump was in last time, I said fuck it, I'm not traveling to the States anymore. And I didn't, and I didn't. I'm gonna say that again. Yes, we went to San Francisco in uh um in December, but that was before we knew that Trump won. We had booked our flight before that. If if we had a flight booked to America now, uh I would I'd be canceling. There's no fucking way I'm traveling down there uh while he's uh president. So I did it last time, I'm gonna do it again. Fuck it. See, they're not getting my money. I'm buying Canadian as much as I can. Uh I'm avoiding Amazon as much as I can because that fucking Jeff Bezos is another fucking bozo. Um all these millionaires are bozos. They true, they are. Can you believe that uh like all of these all of these big tech companies, uh Google, Meta, uh Amazon, they all support Trump. That every single one of them supports Trump. They gave Trump money. Um that's that's crazy. So it so again, why support Google? Why support Facebook? Why support Amazon? Those are those are and it you know, it might be a drop in the bucket for me to cancel my Amazon subscription, which I did, which I did. Um nobody Jeff Bezos doesn't give a shit who my who uh who I am or my fucking 11 bucks a month or whatever it is, or a hundred bucks a year, but that's not the point. Uh I'm doing it out of out of because it's I feel it's the right thing to do. Um, other people should feel the same way, and enough people care about it, it will make a difference, right? I think so too, yeah. That's the thing.
SPEAKER_03So anyway, fuck I was just looking, I have I have four Seattle shows lined up. Ouch. I got uh I got the Deftones lined up. Actually, I'm going to the Bellingham on Tuesday, the 25th, to go see a band called The Dirty Nil. Okay. I got Deftones two days after that, and then I'm in Seattle for two days. I got uh a country music artist, Kelsey Ballerini, and then Poppy as a back-to-back. But I booked all this before fucking Trump was was in power, but I don't think I'll be oh, then I got nine inch nails in Seattle, so then I got five shows planned for uh a Seattle Seattle concert scene.
SPEAKER_02That nine-inch nails show was after Trump came in and threatened us with tariffs. You gotta cancel that one.
SPEAKER_03Oh man. Yeah, that's I mean, that is true. I mean, I am did you buy tickets here for Vancouver?
SPEAKER_02No, I didn't. I didn't. I I want to go. I I mean I I I think I was busy and I forgot about the ticket sale the when tickets went on sale. It was a Wednesday, I know that. Um yeah, it was weird. So I went to it a couple days later. Of course, it's mostly sold out. Most of the tickets that were remained are um resale. Uh and they're like 500 bucks a pop. Like there's a couple of there's some cheaper ones, I think, for 300 up in the way back in the fucking uh rafters at the back. Um probably still wouldn't be bad seats. I think if you're looking straight, if you're at the back, looking straight onto the stage, you might have a pretty good view, at least uh, because of the all the visuals and stuff that that they normally bring to a show. Yeah, exactly. Anyways, I'd like to go. I'm gonna still keep an eye on tickets. Maybe they'll whatever is remaining will come down in price. And the show is in in when? April? August? Oh, it's always August. Oh, okay. Okay. We'll see. But yeah, shit.
SPEAKER_03I do I do got a lot of stuff lined up. Trying not to go to the States as much, but uh yeah, fuck. I'm just looking at that shit. I'm like, oh man, that's that's a bit tough. But yeah, it's uh little things like that, and I'm not hurting. Maybe I'll maybe I'll think about selling a couple of those, but uh don't buy anymore.
SPEAKER_02Don't buy anymore. Don't buy anymore. Don't buy anymore. There you go. Don't buy anymore. And that's the plan. And hey, it's it's nothing personal against the American people. Maybe they don't understand that, but they should. They should understand that, right? They should realize that. And I and I think you know what? I think if you talk to a lot of people, even a lot of the other politicians, of course, they're not aligned with Trump, so they're they're going to be different. Um they'll they I think a lot of people understand that what Trump is doing is bullshit for Canada. They're he's trying to screw us again. He's trying, he's gonna end up screwing his own people, too. So that's what he doesn't seem to realize is that it's gonna hurt them as much as it's gonna hurt us, and it's just not good for anybody.
SPEAKER_03We're all losing right now because of this idiot. You know, he's a fucking bully, and that's tough.
SPEAKER_02He is. Yeah, this 51st state bullshit has to fucking stop. Yeah, he just fucking needs to need a fucking boot in his mouth and just shut the fuck up and get on with all of your other bullshit that you want to do. If you want to fuck your own people, go for it. Don't fuck anybody else. Leave everybody else out of it.
SPEAKER_03I'm making this a prank.
SPEAKER_02Fucking asshole.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Uh, but um, you know what's weird about all this stuff is that now because of the you know, this anti-Trump stuff and fuck that guy, but uh the Canadian flag is back in succession. Like it wasn't too long ago during the COVID when someone had a hung a Canadian flag up, they were a fucking, you know, like fuck this guy, but now the Canadian flag is back and it's stronger than ever.
SPEAKER_02That is exactly why I wanted to talk about this, because I was one of those people during COVID and the fucking um what did you call all that stuff back then? The trucker shit and all of that stuff. Uh I feel I felt it would be embarrassing to be hanging a Canadian flag around that time because those people, and it was it's a smaller number of people. Um they they I think they just made all Canadians look bad because of what they were doing and what they were saying. Yeah, um, you know, there was a time many, many years ago, where people would have, when they traveled, they would proudly put the Canadian flag on their backpack, their travel gear, they would proudly wear you know, Canadian flags or t-shirts with the Canadian flag on it. People would get Canadian flag tattoos.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um and there was a time uh when I think you would typically be able to travel, and if you people found out you were Canadian, you were pretty safe, you were respected, um you typically didn't have to worry too much about anything or not too much. I mean, it was a different world back then, sure. But uh you were proud to be Canadian. I mean, I mean, I I always am and was proud to be Canadian, but yeah, when COVID hit and all that shit came went down and stuff like that. It's like fuck, there's no way. I mean, it was embarrassing. It was embarrassing to see these fucking trucks drive down the fucking road honking on their fucking horn, um, bearing a Canadian flag. It's like fucking like how disrespectable. That's that's to me, that's how I felt. I felt they were disrespecting Canada and the Canadian flag. No, I agree with that. Um and yeah, now it's uh I think now it's coming back. I think people are are hopefully sticking together like we should. And uh, you know, we need to fight this together. And um of course yesterday, yes, it was yesterday was Canada Flag Day, which is the 60th anniversary of the actual the Maple Leaf flag. Uh yeah, so that's pretty cool. It's kind of kind of good timing, if you want to put it that way. So um uh so yeah, so yeah, it's uh it's it is cool to be Canadian. I think the world still recognizes Canada as a partner, as a friend, and uh everybody except fucking America and Trump.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02So yeah.
SPEAKER_03Um it's it's cool to see, like yes, I guess I would I guess we call the COVID a dark time. So we went through a dark time, but it's cool to see they rebound back and people getting back together and representing the Canada and the its flag for what it should be.
SPEAKER_02You know what I mean? Yeah, so I think that's cool. Yeah, for sure. There's a special meaning uh behind our flag, I think, and and everything Canada has done for um you know for the world because we have done a lot. We've assisted uh many countries at times of conflict, at times of need, uh disasters, all that sort of stuff. And um, you know, I think I think again what Trump is doing is very disrespectful to us.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, for sure. Um yeah's to booze, did you say you saw this as well? The fans boo the US anthem before the hockey tournaments, the Four Nations tournament. Did you? I wonder if I could play this. Come on, give it a try.
SPEAKER_02Uh the booze were pretty loud during that Canada US game at the beginning, yeah, for sure.
SPEAKER_03Um I saw the video here, and of course it's not gonna let me play it. Let's go. Come on, come on, come on, you can do it.
SPEAKER_02Come on, come on. I don't have it ready, I know that. So but um but it's uh you know it's been happening right even before this, obviously. Um there was a game, a hockey game in Toronto or in Ottawa, even Vancouver here, I think before a Cadux game, they've been booing a couple times. Uh Rap Before Raptors games. Yes.
SPEAKER_03So is it worth like they're not I get like what are they booing? Are they booing Trump? They're not like it's a it's a bit of a mixed message. I think they're just trying to get the point across. But um, yeah, it's uh it's very it's I mean I mean it's powerful booing the Nanthem, of course.
SPEAKER_02It's um it's probably uh I it's disrespectful. It's well some people might think that it's not as powerful as say burning the flag. You know, if if yeah, if if people were burning the flag, that's that's maybe a problem uh in some minds, I suppose. I don't I don't know. Um I don't know. I yeah, I don't know. I you know what, you know what, I have no problem with it. I have absolutely with everything that's going on right now, I have no problem with it. Sure, you know, you you as an athlete, as somebody standing on the ice, they may not like it, but you know what? I think they understand. They they may not think that's the right time or place, but at the same time, if I think they understand, and um they they probably understand that it's not directed at them personally. They should they should because it's not. People aren't people aren't booing the the fans are not booing the players on the ice, the fans are not booing the person singing the national anthem. Um the fans are booing America and what Trump is trying to do to us, and I see absolutely nothing wrong with them booing. I I really don't. I I yeah, I I don't. It's um it's again, it's it's it's us as Canadians uh voicing our displeasure. Um it's um you know, it's sure certainly not as disrespectful as what is Trump is saying about our our prime minister or doing to us. Yeah, you know, this 51st date bullshit. Um it's got nothing to do with that. Uh I shouldn't say it's got nothing to do with it. It's got it's got there's no comparison between what he's doing and people booing the national anthem. It really isn't. Yeah. Um so I say keep going. Here, here, here, bigger picture, bigger picture, they need to sc just just forget about the national anthem, period. Yeah. Just just for especially regular season hockey games. I mean, those players are from so many different countries who are on the ice, and they're playing just because the the team is from the US and they're playing a game in Canada, they they just like forget it. Those players represent so many different countries, and uh they just need to just they just need to get rid of the anthems. And if they are going to play the anthem at say, they can play it at Olympics, but play it for the winning team at the end, like they always do. And that's like otherwise forget about the anthem at the beginning of games.
SPEAKER_03Did you watch the Canadian US game yesterday?
SPEAKER_02I did. I did. That was very disappointing.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah, but the fight's the beginning, right? Oh, yes, yes. Sorry, yes.
SPEAKER_02That that I was so excited at the beginning, I had no idea that was gonna go down. I really did. David's like, wow, whole like what is like maybe that first one was staged. It sounds like maybe they talked about it at the beginning and say, Hey, I hate you. Because because those two play, those two one Kachuk plays in Florida, uh, the Hegel plays for Tampa Bay. So they are two NHL teams, same same state, and they're you know, there's a bit of a rivalry now. Um, yeah, so those two fucking players hate each other, anyways. So, hey, let's let's do it. But you know what happened? I didn't expect two more to come after that. It's like yeah, that's crazy. Shit, that's yeah, it's just wild. Um, and then Canada, of course, went up one-nothing, and I was all excited, and it it it kind of went, I wouldn't say it went downhill, but it was a very tight game after that. Very, yeah, very close game. Uh, I will give the US team credit because they played a very tight defensive game. Uh, they played, they played really well. They shut down Canada in their in their end, and no passes could get through the net, no shots could get through the net. Uh, they and of course, if any of them did, they have the number one goaltender right now in the NHL in Connor Hellibuck. Um nothing was going in. Uh, well, of course, two goals. Two goals went in, one goal went in. Two goals, yeah. Um just two won. So so you know, give give them credit, they played a pretty good game. They capitalized on a couple of opportunities. Uh, they won the game. Uh with everything going on right now, that's why it's pretty disappointing. Uh, you know, it's it's like it's it's it's just a game, it's just entertainment, but it's our game. And it's like, whoa, we gotta fucking beat you guys, man. It's and they didn't, and that's why it's it's disappointing. But hey, Canada still has a shot. They need to win tomorrow morning. I what's tomorrow morning on the West Coast? Um if they win in regulation, they're meeting the USA in the final on Thursday.
SPEAKER_03Oh shit.
SPEAKER_02So it'll be a rematch. Hopefully, it's a rematch on Thursday night, and they get some revenge. So uh so we got so we got a little hockey uh ahead, so we're not out of it.
SPEAKER_03Let's let's see what happens. I hope they uh I mean those are exciting games. I didn't even know this tournament was happening.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's it's uh yeah, it's it's you know what this this hockey is always really good. It's these these uh Canada against the other countries, whether it's the Olympics or these uh these NHL sponsored events, um country on country hockey. It's just it's so cool, it's so much fun. It's yeah, the best players in the world uh playing for your country. Yeah, it's cool.
SPEAKER_03It's uh let's uh let's see what happens. Let's uh let's see what's going on. Yeah. Um, we talked a lot about travel. We talked about uh boycotting the US, but what we should boycott is heading to fucking the UK to see Black Sabbath's fun a reunion show. Yeah, have you seen that lineup? Like holy shit, like um you have Sabbath and Ozzie with Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Golgira, Change, Hailstorm, Lamagon, Anthrax, and who's the other Mastodon, I think, yeah, are the main performing acts. But I was just I just got a news alert saying that Ozzie Osborne will only do little bits and pieces with Black Sabbath at the farewell concert, which is kind of disappointing. Yeah, um, it also makes you worry about his health more and more and more. I'm happy that he's doing this final show. I'm happy he's doing the show with the all the original members of Black Sabbath. So Bill Warren is back playing. Bill Ward's there, yeah. Uh, but yeah, this concert sold out in what I think it was at 14 minutes, it said, 16 minutes, whatever it was. Yeah, and it wasn't cheap.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so you know, for a very split second there, well, it was no, it was probably longer than that. It was, you know what? I actually went as far as um you know, looking, okay, where is Birmingham? Where is this concert going to be held? How far is the train ride uh from from London to Birmingham? Like, I like I like I want I was excited about this. I was at least for a short time thinking, you know, can we make this work? This would be so cool. I want to do this, you know. It's it's uh and again after seeing the lineup, especially. Like I didn't see the lineup right away, so even before that, I was I was pumped. So like I just thought, okay, you know, Teresa wants to go to London again. Okay, so let's go this summer, let's do it. Like, yeah, and you know, it's just you know what, it's it would be so expensive. Like you said, tickets sold out right away and they weren't cheap. Um, and then I heard the news about Ozzy. I I heard I heard he's he's confined to a wheelchair now, too. Yeah, like it's like it's like okay, well, yes, you know, you're still seeing Black Sabbath and Bill Ward's with the band for this one show, their final one ever. It's like uh, but Ozzy's in a chair. Well, yeah, sure, it'd still be cool, but yeah, it's it's not the same. I don't know. I don't know, it's not the same. I'm not saying it's it's not going to sound good uh or be good performances because I'm sure it will be. But um, yeah, I don't know. It's it's it is his last performance. I think everybody has admitted that, right? So he will not uh he will not probably perform again, certainly not something on this scale. Um maybe he'll still do some music, but yeah, this is kind of the end of the line for him and and Black Sabbath, I think. That's like this is it for sure. Everybody said the end happened back in when was that tour? 2017 was the last one in Birmingham, I think. Um yeah, this is it for sure now. Like this, there's no more. Um, and that's sad. Exactly. That's that's too bad. Um people who did get tickets are in for one hell of a show, that's for sure.
SPEAKER_03The uh the show we saw in 2016 when we got backstage and fucking were next to Ozzy and Tony and Gezer. Yeah, that was like it's still one of the fucking highlights. Like it's it's It was like being standing next to those guys was fucking awesome.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and that was such a good show, too. Yeah, it was an awesome show. Um thanks to you for getting us those backstage uh those VIP tickets. Um I know we were shuffled in and out so quick for the one photo, but it was still cool to be there uh standing beside those three guys. And um uh it's just yeah, it's certainly the highlight uh for me. It's one of my favorite bands, and that was so cool.
SPEAKER_03It was so cool. But you know, so I uh being a Metallica fifth member, I had a pre-sale password. So I I was on the Friday morning at 10 a.m. You were okay and I got through. I was the thing was in my cart. I think it was like I think it was like $1,500 and I was up at the top, but it was the only only seats I could get, and I went to go, I I just went to buy them because fuck it, and uh they were gone. Like I the order didn't go through. Yeah. So I was like, uh because I was gonna do it. I was gonna like, who cares? It's it would be shit. Like it might like you know, thinking back on it, like did you watch the rock and roll hall of fame stuff?
SPEAKER_02Uh yes, you well, you shared a little bit, but there wasn't much out at the time, and then there I think we there there was more released for sure. So I saw it.
SPEAKER_03But he didn't uh like Ozzy was just kind of there, he didn't do anything, it was all like guest musicians playing and singing and and all this stuff. Yeah, but uh you know, just just to get a chance to see it and it's last time, I think is special. But I'm happy that we did see that last show here in Vancouver and it was super special, and yeah, honestly, it was fucking awesome. So, like I have no regrets on it or not going or whatever it was, it just would have been a good time, and yeah. But yeah, it's like even if I did get those tickets, it would have cost like it would have been 10 grand easily to go there and back.
SPEAKER_02For sure. You you know, you you gotta make a week of it anyway. So flight, hotel, then you gotta get to Birmingham, and then you gotta probably stay over one night in Birmingham. Concert tickets, you know, you're looking at yeah, it's it's you're looking at a lot of things for sure. It is um it would have been nice to to go for a trip again and uh check out that show, but uh well, have to save the money for something else.
SPEAKER_03But you know what's really weird about this stuff is that uh there's no mention of black label society on the bill. And I just find that's weird for uh not having Zach's band as part of that bill. I hope he's there playing with him. I'm assuming he will be.
SPEAKER_02But uh Yeah, even you're right, even even if it's not his band, certainly Zach he would think he would be there because it's a big you know, hey, he played a big part of uh Ozzy's solo career. He was a big part of it. Um and this again, because uh because because he's doing a short solo set, right? And then then after playing with Black Sabbath and doing Black Sabbath. So yeah, let's it only makes sense for him to be on stage, at least for that solo stuff at the beginning or something, right? Exactly. I don't know. We'll see.
SPEAKER_03I also hope Gus G is there too, because he was a great guitar player for the solo Sabbath store with the solo Aussie stuff. I I quite enjoyed him. Yeah. Uh but yeah, and uh, but yeah, it's uh it's a shame that you know he's gone. We never talked about Steven Tyler leaving us. His voice is fucked, he can't sing anymore, so that's uh that's unfortunate.
SPEAKER_02Well, he uh yes, that's that's a big part of it, but I think he's also got some legal problems here too, right? Yeah, so uh yeah, a lot of shit going back to the old days, I guess, when he yeah, there's uh I don't know, there's some reports of assaults and stuff like that taking place, right? So uh so I think he's he's laying low because of all of that stuff, and uh yeah, it it sucks. You know, uh I mean I I I hate to say it in it, but it certainly doesn't make it right. Uh you know, sadly a lot of shit happened back in those days, and uh some people probably got away with it, and um others, as we're finding out now, they're not getting away with it, and it you know, they could have to end up paying for it. So it's just they took advantage of people because of the position they're in. Uh if all of this is true, of course. And some of it is true with other celebrities and entertainers, right? And uh yeah, it it it it it really sucks. And uh I hey that early Aerosmith stuff is awesome, awesome music. I can't care as much really for the for the newer stuff over the last twenty years, but still uh that it they're a big band, they're an important part of music, uh especially in the 70s, and they influenced a lot of other music that came after, and you know, it kind of gets tarnished because of shit like this that happens, uh because of things they did in the past and it catches up to them. And uh yeah, it's I don't know. It's hard to it's hard to think of these people in the same view, I guess, that we did once upon a time.
SPEAKER_03It sucks. Yeah, it does. Um but speaking of other things that suck, everything every thing seems to evolve around Ticketmaster. So this is I know fuck we both kinda hate Oasis, but thousands of Oasis tickets are now being cancelled by Ticketmaster and bought crackdown. And obviously, people are pissed because you bought a ticket from Ticketmaster and your tickets are being cancelled. Yeah, that's fucking horseshit.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it is. I don't care about the bands. Uh yeah, it doesn't matter if it's Oasis or somebody else or Black Sabbath. It it's bullshit. What's it I mean, this just seems to be coming up all of the time. It's just like every single week almost, there's something about Ticketmaster in the news, and it's never anything good. It it's not, and and here we are, we've been fighting or we've been talking about this for five years, as long as we've been sitting here chatting all you know every week or every month, yeah, whatever it is, and all we do is complain about Ticketmaster, and the thing is nothing's been done about it. In five years, we bitch and complain about Ticketmaster, uh, nothing's been done about it in that time, and uh that's what's really sad. It just seems to continue on and on. People get screwed, they make money, and uh yeah, like everything else, the the the little guy gets screwed, and the big guys make all the money all the time. They take all the money. The rich get richer, the poor get poorer.
SPEAKER_03And uh and well, it's not only that, so no the boss thing, but then the dynamic pricing was used. Yeah, yeah. And uh, you know, it just everyone's like the bands are making money, they have a guarantee, they're making X amount of dollars per show, but it's us the buyers who want to see our favorite acts who are the guys getting screwed.
SPEAKER_02Well, yeah, yes, it is. It's it's the bigger bands making money for sure. Did the little guys, the smaller guys who still use Ticketmaster, do they really make that much money? I don't know. I don't know what how that how that works. Um uh Ticketmaster is huge, they're all over the world, and uh yeah, that dynamic pricing is was was were the Black Sabbath tickets dynamic pricing?
SPEAKER_03No, it's just um well I I I don't know about the Friday sale ones, but yeah, I just grabbed whatever it was. Okay, I have no idea. And you would assume they would be because any pre-sale or anything, it just pops off and just goes. Yeah. But yeah, it's uh it's a losing battle, and there's nothing we can do. We have like here in Vancouver you have ticket leader, and you know, there's a bunch of other kind of similar situations, but everything is done through ticket masters. Like I had to download different apps to get tickets, and it's just fucking not working. It's just I wish like there's no there needs to be a different I mean we talked about this before, but there needs to be like a different competitor on Ticketmaster's level to have any sort of impact on what's happening, yeah, for sure.
SPEAKER_02And there there are some other companies, but nothing like Ticketmaster. Like, what's the big company in uh in the States? Um starts with an A uh AEG. AEG, yeah. Aren't they a competitor? Yeah. They're like AXS, Access maybe maybe it's AXS, yeah. It's yeah, it's AXS sounds more for more familiar to me. Yeah, that makes sense.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03But yeah, we're still uh we're still losing that battle here, and it's just uh I don't know what to do. I mean it's it's your it's the only thing we got, you know. Like you're gonna if you want to go see your artist, you either have to use Ticketmaster or something else that it's on sale on. And yeah, if it's on a Ticketmaster or if it's somewhere else, you have to find it, sign up for it, get it, go through the fucking hassle of getting the ship. You know, when I was buying the Nine Snails tickets, I was so fucking stressed out because there was no pre-sale, there's no nothing. You're in the queue with you know, you join the waiting room and you randomly get placed in this fucking queue. Yeah, and part of the Vancouver one, I had two people buying tickets, and I was like 9,412, and uh the person uh I was buying tickets with was like 2,214, whatever it was. So he got in before me and was able to buy the tickets for the Vancouver gig. Yeah, but I couldn't even get in the Seattle queue when it went on sale. Like it was just there was like 15,000 people just waiting in this stupid virtual queue to get in. Like wow, I missed the days of lining up and getting your tickets, man. That was the way to do it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, that's yeah, for sure. That's a long time ago. Uh good lock. I remember I did that a few times too. And yeah, quite different now, that's for sure. And um again, because everything is electronic or computerized, that uh brings in the bots and the problem with the bots and and the dynamic pricing, and it introduces so many more issues. Sure, maybe some people at least initially thought, hey, this is great, I can sit back in my fucking underwear and order some tickets. Well, it's it's it's you can try and do that, but it's just not the same anymore. And uh and that sucks.
SPEAKER_03One of the very first tickets I remember standing for buying is for the Nine and Snail show in Vancouver the Fragile Tour. Okay. I remember me and my buddy Brian were standing in line, and uh we're standing in line, it's fucking five in the morning. We're sitting at Scottsdale 72 here in Delta, and we're in line, and there's more and more chicks showing up in country hats. We're just like, what the fuck is going on? And we got our McDonald's, whatever it is, and our re sipping our coffees or whatever the hell, maybe pop because we weren't old enough to drink coffees. Uh, but uh the lady comes up, she goes, Are you here for the Dixie checks?
SPEAKER_01Or like, no, we're here for night snails.
SPEAKER_03She's like, Oh, that explains all the hot girls in country hats. Oh, okay, that makes sense.
SPEAKER_02Uh, but yeah, it's um that show was um that was in 2000, right? Yeah, yeah. I and tickets tickets were available online as well because I like I was still in living in Calgary actually at that time. Okay, and I came out here for that show. Like I so I was at that show and uh a perfect circle opened. Yes, right, and um yeah, I was still I was still living in Calgary. So uh and I'm glad I came out for that show because it was awesome. It was a it was a great show. And um anyways, that standing in line for tickets probably came to an end very soon after that though, I would think. Because again, online was happening still, and it was probably a mix of both, I suppose, but um yeah. Anyway, so things have changed a lot.
SPEAKER_03That was the tour I met Reznor on. So I won a contest on Sea Fox with Larry and Willie to meet uh Trent Reznor backstage. Oh, in a way, and so I I remember I was backstage and I was fucking young, and I was the first rock star I ever met, and one of my heroes, and I remember him coming up to us, and I was so fucking nervous. I'm like, you're and I was just like, and he looked at me just like, hey man, calm down. I'm like, okay. He's like, what he's like, he's like, what do you want to say? I'm like, hey man, you're a Trent Resident. He goes, Yes, I am. I'm like, how's that working out for you? And that's all I fucking said to him. He burst out laughing. His big black security guard burst out laughing. Everyone in the line's fucking laughing. That's all right. I got my fucking stupid photo, and he was like she's smiling, and then he's fucking walked away. That's pretty funny. Yeah, and I got my copy of the fragile sign, my CD sign. So that's somewhere in my archives. I don't know where the fuck that is, but yeah, that was uh that was pretty fucking fun.
SPEAKER_02Cool. Do you have that photo kicking around somewhere still?
SPEAKER_03So my friend who I said to Brian has it. I don't know, I haven't seen it in years. He has it, I don't know where it is. He has a bunch of our photos. I got a photo with us and Bruce Campbell. I got a bunch of fucking other random celebrity photos, but I haven't seen them and uh we've we had a falling out, so I haven't seen this photo in years. So sucks before digital, before iPhones and before Samsung and before all that stuff, you know. It was like a point and shoot Kodiak. Yeah, yeah. But fuck.
SPEAKER_02Oh well, that sucks. That would have been a keeper. It is a keeper. It would have been nice to have on uh be able to hang on to that still.
SPEAKER_03I gotta find it, frame it, and put it on a shirt.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, no kidding.
SPEAKER_03Right on. Alright, let's uh let's talk tunes. We got an ad targeted by uh I think Instagram, and I've I've become the biggest fan of these guys. They're called Cerebellian. This song's called a better version. They're formed out, they're out of Los Angeles, but fuck this song just rips. Like, I've listened to this 3,000 times in the last two weeks. Like, um I was playing it for a friend of mine, and she's like, oh, this sounds like I mean it sounds like um we talked about perfect circle earlier, and it's like it sounds like yelling Maina James Keenan with a bit of Hemp Field. I'm like, you know, that's exactly what it fucking sounds like. Um, but yeah, I've I've dug into these guys, they play a lot of cool shit, so um, yeah, big, big they have a new fan in me. Uh I've already reached out for them. Hey, you guys want to come on my podcast? And they haven't reached back, so but yeah, great uh great fucking band. Did you give this a spin? Did you enjoy it as much as I did?
SPEAKER_02I did. Well, maybe not as much as you, because I didn't listen to it 3,000 times. But uh Well not yet. Not yet. Um give me some time, eh? Um Yeah, I see I was left thinking right away too, like, because it reminded me of somebody and I couldn't remember too. Tool tool did come to mind. I didn't think of I didn't think of a perfect circle, but maybe more so then because uh the just yeah, I don't know. There was something about it though. Tool came to mind first. Um somebody else, and I can't remember who, but uh still good stuff. I I I'm not familiar with this band at all, so I'll have to check out more of it.
SPEAKER_03So there's my new band of the day. Yeah. Um, cool. Got a cover where we talked about Oasis earlier. Uh Bring Me the Horizon. They do a lot of cool covers, and they covered Wonderwall. Uh completely different and uh than the actual version. I mean, we've all heard Wonderwall 9,000 times, so like what do you do to it? Do you I they made it their own, I guess. But uh it's uh, you know, decent, decent cover track of it. I mean, you all know the song, so it's it's cool to hear a different take on it. Um first off, are you a fan of the I mean, we both did you like Oasis, the Wonderwall song when you first heard it? Like real, or like what the fuck is this shit?
SPEAKER_02No, no, I've I've never been a fan. I've never been a fan of really any of their music. None at all. And this song, the original or this cover, does nothing for me. I'm just not a fan.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, just out just Alright, well moving on.
SPEAKER_02I think I think there's there's one oasis song that I don't mind. Um don't uh what's it what's it called? Don't uh Don't Look Back in Anger Look Back in Anger is probably their only song that I don't mind. Yeah well the good news is is Sean Tompk is gonna still talk to us. Um okay. Well, yeah, but I trashed Kansas City earlier too, so maybe maybe I'm maybe he's done with me. Uh like I don't know. I've trashed Kansas City, I've trashed Oasis. Um I don't know. Sorry, Sean. Um yeah Oh shit.
SPEAKER_03Well, I think he's trashing Kansas City, but moving forward, um Mark Morton from Lama God is putting in a new solo album. This is more of a country-ish single. Uh the song's called Helen Back. It's featuring uh Jaron Johnson of the Cadillac 3. But I've dug this. This was kind of cool. Did you uh did you make it through the song first off?
SPEAKER_02I I you know what? I I really like this. I don't consider this really country, it's more blues, blues, yeah, kind of blues to me. Um the song is great. I I mean I love the visuals of the video too. There are lots of cool art and animation there. Um but yeah, it's a it's a cool sounding tune. And again, it's yeah, it doesn't sound countryish to me. I mean, I guess I could see where you're coming from, but it's more blues to me. Blues and southern rock, I guess. Yeah, that's it. Southern rock.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. It's quite the departure from Lamagon, which I respect and appreciate. So it's cool to see him play use some chop to do different things.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, absolutely. No, it's pretty good.
SPEAKER_03Um, I've played these guys before. These are local bands. My ex-frontman played in this band or plays in this band. They're called 816. Uh, they released a new EP a couple weeks ago. I don't know, maybe early January. I've no idea. But um just straight up, straight up rock. Um, and it you know what? We're talking about flak and stuff. They uh gave me the flak files of this, and this shit just bounced. I'll put them on your server. But it's uh yeah, yeah, this is great stuff.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. This is uh Brad, right? This is uh what's his last name? Brad Pedwell. Uh Brad Pedwell. Yeah, okay. I was I saw I saw Vancouver and then I saw his name, and right away I thought, okay, yeah, you know uh you know who this guy is or who these guys are. So uh yeah, good good tune for sure. I I definitely enjoy this. Um he he seems to be very active and involved in so many different things, doesn't he? Over the years.
SPEAKER_03Oh, he's moving, he's trying to make a name, right?
SPEAKER_02So yeah. Oh, cool.
SPEAKER_03Uh well, but it's all right. You know, uh it's always good to share good music, even though it's local stuff, and the local stuff is arguably better than some of the mainstream stuff. So let's uh let's uh fucking share the love. Yeah. Yeah, cool. Uh I can't I gotta find the stuff to put on your server. But uh, you know what? I was listening to um I was watching some movie and I had to uh uh Shazam the song because I did I in it was cool, kind of uh I think it fit the scene a little bit. But uh the song is called Ask For, just done by a band called Future Animals. Um probably not up your alley at all, but it was just I just thought of it kind of like a funky, jazzy kind of feel good song. So I have to share it because it was cool. Yeah. Did you make it through this song?
SPEAKER_02Uh that I didn't. Yeah, didn't think so.
SPEAKER_03That I didn't. Yeah. Uh but uh no cool, give it a listen if you're kind of into uh some jazz, pop, funk stuff. So yeah, it was it was decent. But I got my past past Steven's test. That's the big test. But now this this is this is what I'm curious of because I had to go through my favorite history to find a video that I saved like 17 years ago, and this was the very first song I saved in my favorites playlist. Uh it's called Computer Friends Stacked in Memory by the Sniper Twins. It's about like computer music and like just uh just a funny song about computers and stuff. Did you listen to this?
SPEAKER_02Uh well I listened. Uh I I I did listen to it, yes. I uh Did you make it through? It's not no, I didn't make it through. Uh but I did find it interesting that this was your first saved video everywhere. But what what I immediately what I m immediately thought was like holy shit, if if like did you how did you remember that this was it? Like, is it actually still saved in your history? And if so, okay, so so that's that's my point. If that is saved in your history, imagine everything else that Google knows about you. I know that is fucking scary. So for 16 years, Google has been tracking you in one way or another. Gmail, YouTube, they know everything about you, man. They know what color your fucking underwear is today.
SPEAKER_03I don't know, they're pretty sweet Joe Boxers.
SPEAKER_02Well, they they know they know oh man, scary. Yeah, yeah, it's uh I I I mean, again, yeah, on one hand, it's cool to keep track of all this stuff, and then I know I know you like YouTube because of its it has algorithms as well, so it's uh kind of puts stuff at the top of the list that it thinks you might like, and uh uh, but it's yeah, just the way they track you, man. They've got so much of your data. I mean, hey, they've got some of my data too. Uh I try and limit it, but uh yeah, it's uh they know you, they know who you are. They that's everything. Uh okay. You're okay with it, that's fine. I'm not okay with them all having my stuff. That's that's for sure.
SPEAKER_03As long as they can recommend sweet bands like cerebellum, I'm in. Just put it, just take my fucking dad. Let me just give me some sweet music. Let's go. Um, have you watched anything interesting in the last couple weeks?
SPEAKER_02You know, uh no music or no music, no uh no movies. Uh you know, it's movies have been tough sometimes just because you have to dedicate that two hours or two and a half hours and stuff like that. Whereas TV is a little bit more consumable, easier, easier consumability, easier, you know what I mean. Yeah, you can watch it episode. You can watch an episode here and there, and uh whether it's 40 minutes or even 60 minutes, it's not so bad, and you can kind of move on. It's just because of our schedules. Sometimes when Teresa gets home, we have supper, watch an episode, and you know, by that time it's uh you know it's bedtime or whatever. So yeah. Um so that's why sometimes it's a little tough. Um, so movies, nothing. Um, I will point out that uh Yellow Jackets season three, first couple episodes are now out. Um we haven't watched them yet, but that's did you ever watch that show or get started on it? Because that's a it's good, but it's a fucked up show, man. It's just uh it's pretty messed up, but I enjoyed it. Uh I am enjoying it. She's on the list.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, uh, I got a lot of things on the fucking list. Yeah. That's one of them.
SPEAKER_02Anyways, that's one of them. Like I said, season three just started. Uh yeah, give give that a shot with the first couple episodes of season one, see what happens. Um, there's a new show called Paradise. We've been watching that. It's it's yeah, it's okay. It's entertaining, I guess. Uh it's um another sort of apocalyptic show in that uh the world has ended, and the select group of people uh were chosen to move into a basically uh into a tunnel. Basically, it's a city that's underground inside a mountain. I don't know how they did that, but it they did they did somehow. So it's about life in that tunnel. The president gets murdered, and it's there's a big conspiracy about who did it. So um, so that was cool. Uh I'll finish watching season two of Silo. I know I've talked about that before. Yeah, uh Silo is a it's a just a great show. I'm looking forward to I think I told you they're filming season three and four now at the same time. Oh uh they've already determined that season four is the end end of the series, I think. So they're doing they're doing them back to back here. So I'm really looking forward to to to the rest of the of the series. Um we we're still watching uh we've just finished watching season three of The Shield. I know I mentioned this too. It's you know this show when did it come out? Um was it the early 90s or the early 2000s? I think it was the early 2000s. Um yeah, it premiered in March of tw 2002. Uh it's a cop show out of uh out of Los Angeles. So that it like this is over 20 years old when it first came out. It's just some of the stuff they were doing back then is uh well, it was pretty messed up for sure. Um yeah. Uh you know, cops and crime and gangs and all that shit that goes on. But I I think I'm understanding why this show uh was is rated so high because it does look to be groundbreaking in a lot of ways when it comes to to cop shows. I mean, hey, there's probably hundreds and thousands, maybe even cop shows out there over the years, but this is um yeah, it's it seems like there's I don't know, there's there's something that's keeping me there, and I want to keep watching it. So um so it's pretty good. I don't know if you ever saw that or not. There were seven seasons, I believe. Uh so we got a little bit a little bit more to watch. It did win some awards. Um again, it's it's very high rated highly rated. Um if you like that sort of thing, check that out too.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03You know, see, I have the opposite problem. See, I find it's easier to watch a movie than it is to watch a TV show because with a TV show you have to watch like five or six episodes, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yes, yeah. You you that that's the thing. Sure, they're in smaller chunks, but yes, you are you're watching a in well, if there's eight episodes, you're watching for eight hours, uh, eventually over a period of time. Whereas yes, you get a movie over within two hours and you can move on. So the in that way, yes, a movie maybe is better. Um but um, yeah, the chunks for me are is what's uh I I mean, and that's the thing. You watch you watch a couple episodes, you get sucked in, and and then if it turns out to be shitty, you feel like, well, I've invested so much time into this, even though it sucks, let's finish it off, anyways. That's the problem with TV for sure. Um, so over the long haul, it takes more time. Whether that's good or bad is uh is in that way, yes, it's different from movies for sure.
SPEAKER_03Um, what the hell have I I I just finished Cobra Kai, so it just wrapped itself up.
SPEAKER_02That was uh yeah, there were five episodes I think that came out uh to finish off the series, right?
SPEAKER_03Uh did you watch it? Are you are you a Konate Kid fan?
SPEAKER_02I want to, yeah. I mean, sure, I enjoyed the movie way back then. Uh, but I've never watched the series at all to this point. Because this finished off six seasons, I think, right? Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03So yeah, never it's cool. It's teenage drama, but you got the old school guys coming back and he's going through his own shit. It's actually it's funny, it's kind of harder, and there's some sweet martial arts scenes in it. So yeah, cool. You know, if you if you got five seasons of a show to watch, go for it. Okay. Uh what else? I mentioned we saw off the top. He saw uh Captain America Brave New Worlds. And uh I watched Venom 3 finally uh about two weeks ago. And uh that continued well, that was you know, it's Venom is uh Spider-Man's Arch nemesis, but uh it was in the Sony comic book universe, bullshit, but that just finally wrapped itself up. So is it worth watching? Yeah, it has its funny moments, it's it's kind of worth it, but uh yeah. You know, I haven't really there's not enough time in the fucking day to watch sometimes TV shows, right? Oh I know we're losing it, we're losing this battle.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we are, we are movies, music, TV, and then you've got the rest of life to kind of worry about. It's pretty tough sometimes.
SPEAKER_03And I got video games running in that mix too, because after work, some nights we get online and kill bad guys in Call of Duty. So that eats up an hour or two hours of my life. So that's where I could be watching some of these shows like Yellow Jacket and Silo. I have them ready to rock, I just haven't watched them yet. So I'm losing this battle. Hey, did you ever watch Squid Games?
SPEAKER_02No, because I know there's another season of that too, right? That just came out. Yeah, uh I don't I don't know if it's my thing. I've heard good things about it, like I heard it's popular, right? So uh in fact, wasn't didn't they say that this latest season is the most watched ever or something? Was it because is it on Netflix? Is that where it came out? Yeah, yeah. I I just yeah, but I haven't watched it, so I don't know.
SPEAKER_03Fuck they say that shit about every season. Oh, that's the most popular show we've ever had. It's the most popular movie we've ever shown.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so watch it. Come on, before we get rid of it.
SPEAKER_03It's gone. Yeah, only for a limited time. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02No, haven't seen it.
SPEAKER_03Um, yeah, fuck. There's so much shit to watch. It's just not enough time in the day. We'll get there eventually. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Hope so.
SPEAKER_03Uh, do you have anything else you want to talk about?
SPEAKER_02Uh that's it, man. I know we yeah, cut got through a lot. We probably spent too much time on shithead, but uh some of that needed to be said. Hopefully, some people that idiot needs to be.
SPEAKER_03I don't want to give him the spotlight, but hopefully we can find some like-minded people to work together to beat this fucking guy.
SPEAKER_02Yes, yes. Let's and that's and that's that's what we need. Let's stand up against him and stick together and do our part and hopefully things will work out okay for us Canadians. Exactly.
